This page contains some pictures of the embellishments at the Empire after they have been restored by Restoration Associates and Battersby Ornamental. The image above is at the orchestra level box, houseright, looking toward the rear of the theatre. I took this photo shortly before the theatre reopened, in March of 1998. The elaborate ornamentation, extensive gold leafing, and the expert stencil work, by Restoration Associates, are all shown in this one little shot, as well as in the image below. The image below is also from the box seat area, houseright, but, this is at the second level.
