These photos were taken in December 2000 at the Goliad Memorial Auditorium in Goliad, Texas.
Samuel Charles Phelps Vosper, an architect who did quite a bit of work in the Goliad area, headed the design team (including architect-restorer Raiford Stripling, and HugoVilla, sculptor). The auditorium was built in 1936, as part of the Texas Centennial celebration. This is one of the last projects that Pianta was able to participate in, as he was killed in 1937.
To the best of my knowledge, the sculpturing for the ornamentation that is shown on this page, was done by Hugo Villa. The molds were probably produced in the Pianta Studios. These exterior walls were produced using what was, in 1936, a relatively new construction technique. The molds for the ornamentation were placed into the forms, and poured along with the walls, as opposed to being produced in a separate mold, and then attached to the wall. Notice that the concrete forms were also made to give the solid poured concrete a "plank" appearance. The picture above is a small part of the south exterior wall. I hope to get back to Goliad soon to take some more pictures of the exterior, as well as the inside of the auditorium.
